History of forgotten rituals. Death and culture

Oksana Didkivska-Vorobienko, an author of art-project “Death aesthetics”, will perform the lecture about unbelievable rituals related to death and birth, consider forbidden rituals and forgotten elements of the funeral traditions of the Slavic world and talk about modern rituals. Also we`ll discuss the role of the archaic in contemporary culture and find out, from what ancient traditions "grow" modern cinematic masterpieces.

About the exploitation of death`s theme and the impact of works, which have received the stamp "mystical", about the main rules of genre and mystical plays with visual images Dream Museum invites you to talk during this lecture.
